What puts a body in a state of vulnerability, surrender or resistance?

By exposing emotions through actions, Yara Bou Nassar's new work shows moments of fragility and resistance experienced in private or public space.

The performance emerges from the deconstruction of habits, memories and obsessions associated with relationship dynamics and trauma. The text takes us through fragments of everyday behaviours, coping mechanisms and encounters that resonate within us and become part of our identity. Through a reappraisal of the personal family archive, the work reveals intimate impulses ranging from childhood to adulthood. At the same time, the work questions the legitimacy of preserving memories through images and the transformation of private space in times of war and crisis.
