A choir that is no longer a choir meets on stage.

Nothing happens. A harsh landscape. And then, very quietly, someone begins to sing. Memories emerge—of songs, mountains, and the sea.

A group forms itself.

How does community arise? How do we encounter each other in a world riddled with lines of conflict, and how do we stand by each other as friends?

Klapa is practiced in community, usually in a group of friends who spend time together and sing.

Patricija Katica Bronić and her team move between performance and concert. Using the singing forms of the Dalmatian Klapa (English: “club/group of friends”) and Swiss yodeling, they initiate a performative dialogue between cultures and people.
